Helical Gears
Features & Benefits
- Used for transmission of power of motion between non-intersecting shafts
- Long tooth lead provides quieter and smoother gear mesh
- Many Helical gears are hardened for longer life
- They are made in right and left hand 45º Helix Angle with 14 1/2º P.A.
- Helical Gears of the same hand operate at 90º for motion transfer
- Helical Gears of opposite hand operate on parallel shafts
- Recommended for high speed, high torque applications where pitch velocities exceed 1,000 FPM, up to 2400 RPM
- Helical Gears operating on parallel shafts provide a stronger, smoother and quieter running drive than spur gears of the same pitch and size
- Meets AGMA quality standards
