PEER, Inc., is the world leader in self-lubricated bearing technology.
Founded in 1990 as a spin-off from PEER Bearing Co., one of the worlds leading producers of rolling element bearings, PEER, Inc., has teamed up with Japans NDC Co., Ltd. to offer steel-backed, resin and alloy coated plain bearings optimized for dry, pre-lubricated, mixed, or fully lubricated applications. PEER/NDC materials provide superb performance in automotive, fluid power, material handling, medical, and other industries. In addition, PEER, Inc., provides value-added services in engineering and the manufacture of precision bearing housings for products ranging from automotive suspension to hydraulic gear pumps. For example, in 2001 PEER, Inc., introduced a new anti-galling, low-friction aluminum known as PEER Alloy 1. PEER Alloy 1 is machined into extremely high tolerance bushing holders to support both the radial and thrust loads delivered by gear sets in fluid power pumps.
PEER, Inc., shares 300,000 square feet with PEER Bearing Co. in Waukegan, Illinois, USA, about 30 miles north of Chicago. Manufacturing operations are accredited to QS-9000 with TS16949 upcoming. |
