BALL DETENT TORQUE LIMITERS RFC Type BD torque limiters are designed to protect driven components and machinery personnel. These accurate ball/roller and socket devices are easily adjusted for overload settings and can trip a limit switch or other signaling device to sound an alarm in the event of an overload. Units automatically reset once overload is removed. Random reset or single position units are available from 44 to 35,000 lb-ins
BACKLASH FREE TORQUE LIMITERS RFC Type BF torque limiters offer zero radial and torsional play between the shaft and output flange. This backlash-free mounting arrangement eliminates the need for keyways and the wear problems associated with them. Available to accept a wide range of shaft sizes and torque settings from 62 to 13,276 lb-in.
FRICTION TORQUE LIMITERS RFC Type FC Friction torque limiters are designed to protect mechanical components and operating personnel in the event of an overload. These units will slip when the torque setting is exceeded and automatically re-engage when the overload is removed. A wide range of configurations is available including shaft-to-shaft couplings.
TORQUE LIMITER COUPLINGS A full range of torque limiter shaft-to-shaft couplings are available in various models including chain type couplings, flexible element and torsionally rigid flexible couplings. Designed to connect two shafts, these couplings protect equipment and personnel in the event of an overload. Couplings may also be used in combination with Ringfeder® keyless locking devices to minimize backlash and enhance installation.
EXTENDED TRAVEL TORQUE LIMITER RFC Type GS extended travel torque limiters permit the use of standard limit switches to sense axial movement when an overload occurs. Type GS torque limiters are available with a choice of three different spring configurations and torque limits from 70-3000 lb-in.
AXIAL OVERLOAD LIMITERS RFC Type AX axial overload limiters are designed for applications where cam or crank actuated mechanisms create linear motions and transmit axial forces in links, connecting rods or slides. Available in overload trip point settings from 5 to 220 pounds. |
