Butterfly Valves VFS-Type
For closing bins, hoppers and silos containing powders or granular materials, or to close screw conveyor outlets, butterfly valves still are and always will be among the most widely used equipment. What used to be custom-built items for specific applications have been turned by WAM into a mass-produced industrial product with features that allow versatile use.

Pinch Valves VM - Type
VM-type Pinch Valves are used to intercept material flow in pneumatic conveying, or other pipe systems. In addition, they are installed as a locking device for silo filling pipes. In the open position the internal cross section of the Valve is identical with the connecting pipe diameter. By introducing compressed air or - especially with small valves - water under pressure through the threaded bore into the Valve, the internal flexible sleeve is reshaped in such a way that the passage is hermetically sealed.
WAM Pinch Valves equally handle pneumatically conveyed powders, granules, fibers, dense mixtures and liquids. The body of each model is manufactured in aluminum alloy. Sleeves are made from various types of fabric-reinforced materials depending on the product handled. The sleeve support bushes are either made from carbonitrided alloy steel or from 304/316 stainless steel.

Rotary Valves RV-Type
Rotary Valves are the ideal solution when controlled feeding is required from or into silos and hoppers with limited space. The sealing of negative pressure cyclone or dust collector outlets is the other classic application. Rotary Valves consist of a tubular casing, a horizontally mounted rotor with a certain number of V-shaped cross section compartments, a drive unit and a casing cover opposite the drive end. The continuously turning rotor fills two compartments at a time with material from the infeed opening at the tiop of the Rotary Valve. After less than half a turn the material falls through the outlet port with the same cross section opposite the inlet. WAM Rotary Valves can handle any kind of powder and granular material up to a particle size of 1/3 in. The valves are either supplied with bare shaft, with fixed gear motor drive, with pre-torque gear motor drive, or with variable speed drive.

Safety Relief Valves VCP-Type
Pressure Relief Valves by WAM are the last safety net when abnormal pressure conditions endanger the silo structure. This is why sudden excess or suction pressure inside the silo must be dealt with instantly. Even though ideally a pressure relief valve should never have to go into action, it must be efficient and reliable if needed.
In the WAM VCP Pressure Relief Valve, helical springs keep the valve lids closed when the pressure value remains within the preset limits. The three outside spring rods keep the external ring-shaped lid firmly closed as long as the force generated by the pressure inside the silo does not overcome the spring force. Once the pressure exceeds the preset value the lid is pushed up and the pressure can escape. The smaller lid covers the central circular opening of the external lid from below. It is held in the middle by a single spring rod and is pressed on to the external lid by the normal air pressure inside the silo. In the event of suction pressure, the spring is compressed and allows the lid to drop. The air entering the silo from outside ensures rapid pressure balance and pushes the central lid back up into the `closed` position.

Slide Gate Valves VL-Type
Slide Valves are traditionally used to close bins, hoppers and solos containing powders or granular materials, and to close conveyor inlets and outlets.
With the dustproof VLQ, VLR, VLC, and VLS range WAM has accomplished its goal of offering the market an industrial product with special design features that are achievable only through mass production.
Depending on their specific requirements, customers are able to choose between four basic models available in numerous variations.
The VLQ Slide Valve with a square cross section consists of a two piece carbon or stainless steel frame which is partly coated with WAM’s unique SINT polymer composite and a sliding blade either made from SINT polymer composite or from stainless steel.
- The VLR Valve with the same features as the VLQ but with a rectangular cross section.
- VLC Valves correspond with VLQ in almost every detail except for a round cross section.
- VLS is suitable for applications without headload. It is available in the same design as VLQ but, unlike that model, has an integrated electropneumatic actuator.

Rotary Level Indicators ILT-Type
ILT-type Bin Level Indicators by WAM are designed to electrically signal minimum or maximum material level inside bins, hoppers or silos by rotary action. As long as material is present the paddle does not rotate. As soon as the material level sinks below the paddle radius rotation restarts activating other system components. The top or side-mounted indicators are commonly used for materials having a bulk density ranging from 35 to .140 lbs per cu ft.
