Axial Face Seals

Dichtomatik`s axial face seals are a combination of the high speed capacity of standard mechanical seals with the simplicity of radial lip seals. Designed to be fixed on the shaft, they seal axially against a perpendicular counterface whether it is the housing itself or a bearing outer surface. They can be utilized as either a primary or a backup seal and do an excellent job as a deflector of foreign materials, especially at higher speeds.

The AF series is a two-piece seal, composed of a rubber sealing member and a metal case. The case press fits onto the shaft, protects the inner sealing member and acts as an outstanding deflector for heavier foreign materials, dirt, sand, etc. This also comes in two types, the standard AFS and the AFX, which have an extended outer case meant to fit into a groove in the counterface to provide extra sealing protection.

Typical applications for axial face seals are all types of agricultural applications, electric motors, appliances, wheel hubs, power saws, and ball and roller bearings. Combined with radial shaft seals, these axial face seal designs provide excellent excluding characteristics against all types of liquids, greases, oils, dirt, sand and other foreign materials.

Bonded Seals

Dichtomatik has available from stock Bonded seals with shaft and thread sizes from 4.1mm and 3.5 M thread size at 1600 pressure bar to 76.08mm with 2.1/2 M thread size at at 680 pressure bar.

Polyurethane Seals

Dichtomatik offers polyurethane seals for both rod and cylinder, hydraulic and pneumatic applications. Dichtomatik Wiper and U-cup design seals are available in polyurethane in both inch and metric sizes. With one of the industries lowest tooling cost, we can provide seals to low and high volume consumers.

Valve Stem Seals

Wiper Seals

Dichtomatik offers a full range of wiper seals for rods and cylinders. Wiper Seals are used primarily in sliding motion for hydraulics, pneumatic cylinders, and in applications of reciprocating movement. Dichtomatik offers ten different styles and sixteen different materials in Metal OD or full rebberized can. V-Rings

Dichtomatik’s all rubber V-Rings can be stretched over fittings, flanges or other obstacles, and mounted directly on the shaft so that disassembly is not required. V-Rings are installed on a rotating shaft and seal axially against the counter-face. V-Rings are typically used to supplement other seals by serving as deflectors or by creating a labyrinth for contaminants.
