They give customers 4-way flexing action that absorbs shock and vibration, while withstanding angular and parallel misalignment and end float. Because Quadra-Flex uses a torsionally soft elastomer in shear design, it will wind up 15 degrees at rated torque. This provides 3 to 5 times more flexibility and protects your valuable connected equipment from shock. No metal-to-metal contact means no need for lubrication and maintenance. Theyre also easy to install, noiseless and clean.
All components, including a new, superior thermoplastic injection molded elastomer sleeve, are manufactured by Martin Sprocket and Gear. Thats what sets these flexible couplings apart from the rest. And Martin’s Martin Flex flexible couplings smoothly transmit power while compensating for shaft misalignment to 4 degrees, parallel misalignment to 1/8" and end float to 4/16". The two piece flange design provides quick and easy installation and elastomeric element absorbs shock and torsional vibration through a wide temperature range.
