SNR Ball Bearings

SNR Ball Bearings

The SNR single-row radial contact ball bearing range is suitable for the most diversified applications. Designed essentially to sustain moderate radial loads, these bearings, which are the most commonly used, also sustain moderate axial loads in all directions. They are particularly suitable for applications with high rotating speeds and when energy loss limitation is sought.

Technical data:

  • Standard steel sheet, or solid cages, or polyamide cages (with 25% glass fibre fill)
  • Nitrile Seal or baffle
  • Normal or increased clearance (C3). Other clearance categories are available on request.

Applications: Electrical motors, household appliances, trailer wheels.
    Series: 600, 6000, 6200, 6300, 6400, 1600

Thin-section ball bearings (ISO series)

In certain mechanical systems under low load rating, the ball bearing determined by the shaft diameter can be oversized in terms of load capacity. Bearing over sizing can introduce a weight and footprint penalty in the mechanical components design. It is then advisable to resort to thin-section ball bearings.
These are rigid bearings, with a deep throat and no filling notch, capable of sustaining axial loads in both directions. Thanks to these properties, they are amongst the most economical and the most widely used bearings. They are essentially distinguished form the conventional series (16000, 6000, etc.) by their thin section and extremely low weight. Series 61800 are now available with sealings.

Series: 61800, 61900
NOTE: Series 62800 and 63800 are proposed in complement to our range. Their diameters and internal design are identical to the corresponding types in Series 61800. The ring widths match those of Series 2000 and 3000 as per DIN 616 standard.

Double-row radial contact ball bearing

SNR double-row ball bearings have become the natural substitute for single-row ball bearings for higher radial load applications, or for axial loads in both directions. Suitable for mean rotating speeds, these bearings only admit very slight misalignment between shaft and housing, to the order of 0.06°.

Technical data:

  • Standard synthetic material cage. Pre-greased bearing.
  • Standard seal.
  • Normal clearance classification (N). Other groups can be delivered on request.

Applications examples: Electrical motors, household appliances, wood-machine spindles, small reduction gears…
    Series : 4200, 4300

Double-row angular contact ball bearings

Thanks to the offset inner/outer ring raceways, dual-row angular contact ball bearings sustain high axial loads and mean radial loads. They sustain high speeds slightly inferior to those admitted by radial contact bearings, of which they keep the general characteristics.

Thanks to their double ball rows, they are robust, multi-purpose bearings, offering good axial loading characteristics in both directions.

Technical data :

  • Glass fibre-reinforced polyamide cage (3200A, 3300A, 5200 and 5300 series).
  • Steel sheet cage (3200 B and 3300 B Series). Other cages available on request.
  • Variants fitted with baffles or seals (5200 and 5300 Series).
  • Non-standard axial clearance. Values available from SNR on request.
  • Normal or increased (C3) radial clearance.
  • Contact angles: 25° for series 3200 and 3300A, 32° for series 3200 and 3300B,

Increased width series

For high stress loading applications, SNR has designed a series of radial contact ball bearings featuring increased width. Fitted with a riveted steel cage and a dual, floating lip copper-asbestos seal, increased width bearings have an improved service life thanks to better pollution protection and more durable lubrication.

With their larger bearing surface in the housing, the 62200, 62300 and 630 series undergo lower material stresses for an equal loading.

The increased width, which also facilitates guiding during fitting, notably for soft material housings (Aluminium, composite, plastic…).

Series: 62200, 62300, 63000

Self-aligning ball bearings

With double ball rows and a spherical raceway in the outer ring, self-aligning ball bearings can compensate for installation errors or shaft misalignment.

The SNR double-row self-aligning ball bearings are useful for applications requiring high rotating speeds while exercising moderate radial, and moderate or low axial loading.

SNR proposes an extensive range of self-aligning ball bearings, available with or without seals. Certain Series are fitted with an increased width inner ring (11200, 11300 Series) for easier fitting on shaft.

Technical data:

  • Common dimension bearings are fitted with a metallic or synthetic cage (maximum continuous operating temperature = 120°C). Large size bearings are equipped with steel sheet or machined brass cages.
  • 2200 and 2300 Series bearings can receive seals.
  • Clearance : normal, increased (C3).

Application examples : Long-shaped and flexible shafts, standard industrial applications, chemistry, agriculture…
Series :  1200, 1300, 2200, 2300, 11200, 11300
